Remington began his journey into meditation in his mid-teens, seeking healing from an anxious, ruminating mind and a harsh inner critic. Through mindfulness, he found grounding, nourishment, and a way to un-shame himself. Now, his hope is to share these gifts with others, helping them find the same peace and transformation that meditation has brought to his life.
With extensive training and personal experience, Remington brings a deep commitment to mindfulness and meditation. His compassionate and informed approach, grounded in Zen practices, offers students a powerful opportunity for inner transformation and peace.
Remington has over 10,000 hours of meditation training and study, including immersive monastic study at Great Vow Zen Monastery. He is a Certified Coach from the Institute of Zen Leadership, a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher under the late Buddhist teacher Shoken Michael Stone, and holds an M.Ed in Contemplative Education Studies from Simon Fraser University. Additionally, he is a certified Hatha Yoga Teacher with a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification.
Grounded in Zen Buddhism, Remington’s teaching is deeply rooted in stillness, believing that through stillness, we access the greatest movements in our lives. His approach is to guide students in cultivating a meditation practice that not only grounds them but also expands their inner awareness and unshames their inner critic.
